Abstract

Alcohol abuse among university students is a global health challenge. This systematic review examined alcohol abuse prevention programs in university settings over the past five years. Reviewed articles emphasized that acquired independence and peer social pressure are key factors in alcohol consumption prevalence. Digital technology, due to its versatility, plays a vital role in preventive interventions. It is crucial to explore innovative technological approaches, promote active student involvement in interventions through qualitative and pedagogical theories, and expand research in Latin America.
