El trabajo emocional en profesionales de la educación: una revisión exploratoria de literatura

Entre los profesionales de la educación, investigaciones recientes han documentado la presencia de trabajo emocional como un factor de efectos bivariados en el bienestar, salud mental y desempeño laboral. Esta investigación consiste en una revisión exploratoria que incluye artículos publicados en inglés entre los años 2019 y 2024 sobre el trabajo emocional que realizan diversas figuras educativas con el objetivo de determinar los tópicos y hallazgos actuales, los tipos de investigación empleados, conocer cómo se encuentran representadas las poblaciones y áreas geográficas y cuáles son las direcciones futuras de investigación. El análisis consideró 58 estudios empíricos pertenecientes a Scopus y WoS. La distribución geográfica de las publicaciones se concentró en tres países: China (52%), Turquía (10%) y Canadá (5%), mientras que el resto se encontraba dispersa, siendo la mayor parte de los estudios de corte cuantitativo-transversal y basados en cuestionarios autorreportados. La población más estudiada son los docentes de nivel secundaria en las siguientes cinco categorías temáticas: 1) eficacia laboral y emociones, 2) engagement y compromiso organizacional, 3) bienestar, regulación emocional y burnout, 4) satisfacción laboral y clima organizacional e 5) identidad profesional.
