Proposal of a didactic situation with the use of teaching material for the understanding of the notion of similarity in secondary school students

Abstract

See the result of the application of a didactic situation with secondary students to analyze how to understand the notion of similarity with the use of didactic material. The situation is based on the Theory of Didactic Situations with activities of construction of geometric figures with the use of tangram as material of didactic. The goal is that students generate a geometric representation of similarity and conjecture the idea of ​​reason. The results of the strategies with the use of the material to generate explanations on the notion of similarity.

Eduardo Carlos Briceño Solís, Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, México

Docente-investigador de la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, México. Obtuvo el grado de doctor en Ciencias con especialidad en Matemática Educativa en el Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (Cinvestav-IPN). Ha impartido cursos, ponencias, talleres y conferencias en congresos nacionales e internacionales con la temática de construcción social del conocimiento matemático y el uso de recursos didácticos en los procesos de enseñanza de las matemáticas. Actualmente es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores.

Lizbet Alamillo Sánchez, Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, México

Estudiante de Licenciatura en Matemáticas con orientación en Matemática Educativa y Estadística de la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, México. Ha participado en eventos de divulgación de las matemáticas en el estado de Zacatecas, escuelas de verano, taller de matemáticas para niños en la Unidad Académica de Matemáticas. Coautora del cartel Optimización de flujos en semáforos, presentado en el Congreso Nacional de la Sociedad Matemática Mexicana 2016.
