Curriculum: An analysis from a socio-formative approach

The purpose of the study is to analyze the from a socio-formative perspective the characteristics of a curriculum. For this, a documentary analysis was made through the eight axes of conceptual cartography. As a result, from a socio-formative approach, the curriculum is conceived as the set of practices carried out with students working collaboratively in the resolution of problems according to the challenges of the knowledge society. Likewise, the curriculum from the socio-formation differs from other approaches such as the behavioral, functionalist and socio-constructivist ones for their emphasis on working with transversal projects that seek to contribute to sustainable social development. In conclusion, it is a priority to carry out various studies that allow the transformation of educational practices that consider the characteristics of Latin American society.
