The solution to problems of context is an educational priority. That is why teachers and trainers need to offer strategies to students. In this regard, the socioformative Vee is analyzed, a V-shaped graphic strategy in which people register the problem of the context, the activities articulated for the solution, the orientation with which the training and research is approached and the products to be achieved in the context. Conceptual cartography is the methodology used to analyze the socioformative Vee. In this sense, it was found that the socioformative Vee is in line with the challenges of the knowledge society, with complex thinking; is concerned with structurally solving contextual problems, attending to collaboration, developing human talent and the performance of how to be, doing and knowing. While Gowin’s Vee focuses on giving answers to questions in the subjects. Thus, progress has been made in the application of socioformative Vee, but empirical studies are required to demonstrate the impact.
