Abstract

This article is a partial result of the research related to the thesis for master’s in Educational Innovation, within the study of the ideological influence of the Cuban Revolution on the Normal school student movements of the 1960s, where it was essential to identify the presence of this sector in social movements. The Normal schools of the state of Chihuahua constituted a strong opposition to the government and support for the worker and peasant movements of the time. The aim is to demonstrate the presence of Normal school students in the social movements of Chihuahua during such period. To do this, oral, documentary, archival, newspaper and secondary sources were used. The historiographic analysis carried out, through the critical historical method, allowed us to achieve research results. Among the main contributions were the identification of Normal school teachers and students in the main social movements of the time in Chihuahua: The Caravan of Justice, the teacher’s rallies and strikes, and the attack on the Madera barracks on September 23, 1965.
