Abstract

Next school year 2018-2019 elementary schools in Mexico will implement curricular autonomy as one of the three components of the new educational model. However, teachers and school principals training has just being provided by an online platform, which introduces to them the curricular changes and design, objectives and methodological approaches. This study was conducted to identify the perceptions that school principals have regarding the implementation of curriculum autonomy in the 2018-2019 school year. The objective of this research was to explore the relevance of this training, program structure, principal training and readiness to implement the new model. A survey was conducted with school principals to analyze the level of knowledge and undertanding of curricular autonomy. Results show that only two thirds of the participants have registered to participate in the online training, and from those registered a third expressed problems to log in, but this wont refract to attend whit this the student´s needs and interests, that the clubs are focused to attend academic issues. Didn´t get proff about the implementation and the difficulties.
