Abstract
The findings of the research "Curriculum Understanding in Secondary School and its effects on teaching and learning practices" are summarized in four components of school educational action: the institutional framework, the contexts and conditions, teaching and learning practices and the subjects in organizational behavior. It was developed from a mixed approach: research by survey and interpretative research with ethnographic, phenomenological and hermeneutical methodological orientation. The techniques for the fieldwork were the survey, the participant observation and the in-depth interview. The sample was determined by non-statistical theoretical sampling, selecting 15 General Secondary for the surveys and of these, 5 for the in-depth study. The analysis processes with SPSS and Atlas. You. they allowed to codify and categorize to understand the curricular comprehension processes that teachers carry out in the school and how they translate into concrete teaching and learning practices that are unique according to the context, the conditions and the meanings and meanings that the subjects They give their actions, determining not only their perception of the world, but also the organization of the school and the role that each individual plays in it.
