Abstract
Bioethics and education share a humanizing task at a time when human beings face the loss of their natural capital accelerated, so it is relevant to approach one of the main educational actors: the normalist teacher. The present work shows partial results of a larger research project whose objective is to determine the influence of teacher training in the construction of their bioethical relations with the environment. For this, bioethical relations with the environment were explored in 30 teachers graduated in the last 30 years of the Benemérita Escuela Normal Veracruzana (BENV) "Enrique C. Rébsamen", with current work in elementary schools located in an urban-centric context. For the collection of data, a semi-structured interview was designed which, together with the observation in the classroom, allowed to characterize the environmental conceptions of the teacher from the perspective of bioethics, based on five values associated with bioethics: a) knowledge, b) respect, c) responsibility, d) solidarity and e) training. Environmental aspects of non-formal training and initial teacher training have been considered. The initial results allow us to establish that the bioethical relationships of the teacher graduated from the BENV with the environment have changed in the last three decades, being the graduates of the last ten years who favor the construction of bioethical relations with the environment.
