Abstract
The purpose of the present documentary research was to deepen the contribution of the vocation as an important factor in the professional training of the teacher from the socioformación. The methodology was the documentary analysis with support in the conceptual cartography, involved a search and organization of information that supported the analysis, facilitating the comparison, interpretation and application of the same. It is concluded that the teaching vocation is not a necessary factor in professional training, but it plays an important role.
