Abstract

The following paper develops from a research called "Degree of Technological Appropriation and perception of the didactic use of ICT by the university professor", a study carried out at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Veracruz Region, of the Universidad Veracruzana. Intends to describe the use of ICT as tools for social interactions by teachers, that is, their communication, socialization, and collaboration. To collect the data, a survey was conducted in which 44 professors participated, 88% of the academic population. Highlighting as a finding that, despite the initiatives and investment in resources and technological infrastructure, teachers make little use of institutional services for these purposes; although it highlights a strong presence of social networks in the academic environment. This research sets the tone for new lines of work regarding ICT and university teaching
