Abstract
The attitudes and needs of training in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) represent an analysis of underlying reality of the higher average level, so that its study and analysis represents an object determined from the live experience and the perspectives that students have in the future regarding the use of technology tools in the development of teaching and learning activities implemented in academic institutions. The theoretical contributions of Pou (2004), Hollander (2000) in terms of the configuration of human attitudes, as well as those of Cabero (2007) and Belloch (2012) on ICTs and the information society, represent a theoretical framework ideal that allows us the analysis of the technological phenomenon that occurs in the daily pedagogical processes in the upper middle level. The methodology followed corresponds to a type of descriptive study and a non-experimental research design of a transversal type, since it is not intended to manipulate variables and only requires a consultation or data collection to carry out the collection of the information. The instrument was applied to a sample of 410 students from the study population, which allowed to identify the perceptions, the use, and interest of ICT training. It is worth mentioning that this instrument is an adaptation of the one proposed by the Technological University of Pereira by Tobón, Falcón, Arbelaez, and Bedoya (2008)
